Speed Verity Backroom Escape Treadmill Tiers
Free trainers, recorded 9x pads, and high-Robux admin-style options — ranked for F2P and spenders.
Treadmills are the AFK engine in QUALITY Games’ +1 Speed Backrooms Escape. Walking still grants +1 per step. Standing on a pad keeps those steps coming while you watch the yellow halls, check the 14-player lobby, or look away. The official description is blunt: train on treadmills or sprint across the map to gain speed, and punch boxing bags to build stamina. Pads print speed. Bags print stamina. Stages consume both.
This list ranks pads as S/A/B by multiplier role, not by a copied Robux menu from a sibling game. QUALITY Games can change shop prices at any time. Sibling +1 Speed titles often sell a cheap 2x-3x, a mid 9x, a candy-tier 25x, and an admin 100x. Treat those as genre patterns. Confirm the live label and Robux cost in this place ID before you buy.
For the rest of the stack — entities, trails, auras, rebirths — start at the tier list hub and the entity ranks. Farming steps without a pad plan is covered in how to get speed. Rebirth timing is covered in the rebirth guide.
S-tier — paid 9x and admin-style pads
S-tier is any pad that changes the session from “I am grinding” to “the counter is a blur.” In a recorded noob-to-pro run, buying the nine times treadmill took the stack from hundreds of thousands of speed per step into the tens of millions once a strong unit, a Rainbow trail, and an aura 6 were already on. That 9x is the first spender pad we are willing to call S for this game because it showed up in an actual Backrooms speed session, not just in a related title.
Above 9x, the +1 Speed genre sells admin-style treadmills at much higher Robux for 25x, 100x, or similar headline multipliers. If QUALITY Games is offering one in the current shop, it is S-tier for spenders who already own a real entity. It is a waste if you still have a B-tier filler equipped: you are multiplying a small number.
S-tier rules:
- Buy it after an A-tier or S-tier unit, not before.
- Stand on it for AFK blocks, then get off to punch bags and clear the next stage.
- Re-check the Robux figure every banner. Yesterday’s 9x price is not a contract.
A-tier — 2x trainers and mid paid pads
A-tier is the first pad that feels better than walking and still makes sense if you are not emptying a Robux balance. Free or cheap 2x trainers sit here when they exist beside a 1x starter. Low-Robux paid pads that are clearly above the free row but well below 9x also sit here.
A-tier is the F2P-plus rank: people who will spend a little, or who lucked into a pass, but who should not skip straight to admin. If 2x is the best you can stand on, stack rebirths and an A-tier entity harder. The pad is only one multiplier in the product.
Do not treat A-tier as a trophy. Once 9x is in the shop and you are already spending, A-tier becomes a stepping stone you leave behind. Until then, it is the correct pad for almost every account.
B-tier — free 1x training
The free treadmill is B-tier and still mandatory. New files should stand on it as soon as they can reach the pad. It is slower than every paid option and still faster than forgetting to train. Community clips that only sprint the halls without parking on the 1x are leaving speed on the table.
B-tier advice:
- Park on the free pad between stage attempts.
- Face the lobby so you can see when someone with a secret unit blurs past — that is your reminder to check the shop, not to panic-buy cosmetics.
- AFK is allowed. The pad is designed for standing. Just do not AFK through a stamina-gated stage; get off, punch bags, then return.
If the shop currently labels a free pad 2x instead of 1x, it is still this row until a paid 9x exists beside it. The rank is “starter trainer,” not a specific integer forever.
F2P plan versus spender plan
Free-to-play: live on B-tier (and A-tier 2x if it is free). Put trophies into rebirths and the best common entity you can equip. Use how to get speed as the loop, not the Robux store. Codes and group rewards, when they exist, beat a panic purchase.
Light spender: the recorded 9x is the first pad that clearly pays. Skip cosmetic trails until the 9x and a real unit are on. A Rainbow trail at about 389 Robux looks fast in a lobby; it is not a substitute for the pad.
Heavy spender: admin-style high-Robux pads are S if they are in the shop. Buy them last in the stack, after entity, trail, and aura, because each multiplier multiplies the others. Standing on 100x with no unit equipped is a very expensive B-tier session.
AFK standing, bags, and stages
AFK on a treadmill farms speed. It does not farm stamina. Boxing bags are the stamina station; skip them and you stall on a stage even with a ridiculous step count. A practical block looks like this: stand on the best pad you own until the next rebirth or stage is in reach, punch bags, run the hallway, then return to the pad.
If you want an auto loop, read auto-farm scripts and the tools hub first. Injecting a farm is an account risk. The intended AFK is standing on a pad QUALITY Games already built.
Pads do not replace rebirths. A 9x pad with a stale rebirth is still slower than a 1x pad after a large reset. Farm on the pad until the rebirth screen is a yes, reset, then return to the same pad with a bigger baseline. That is the whole treadmill strategy: pick the highest multiplier you can honestly afford, stand still, and let the rest of the stack do the loud work.
The last thing to audit before you spend Robux on a pad is not the wallpaper. It is whether your equipped entity and rebirth already justify the multiplier. A free 1x with an S-tier unit beats a paid 9x with a B-tier filler more often than lobby flex admits. Buy the pad that matches the unit you already wear, then AFK like you mean it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Which treadmill should I buy first?
None, if the free 1x-2x still covers your next stage. The first spender pad worth a look is the 9x shown in recorded runs. Confirm the live Robux cost; QUALITY Games can change it.
Is the admin treadmill in this game?
High-Robux admin-style pads are a +1 Speed genre staple. If the current shop offers one, it is S-tier for spenders. Do not assume another game’s 100x price is this game’s price.
Can I AFK on treadmills?
Yes. Standing is the point. Get off to punch boxing bags and clear stages, because pads do not refill stamina.
Do treadmills stack with entities and auras?
Yes. The pad multiplies the same step as your unit, trail, aura, and rebirth. That is why a 9x pad looked absurd in a recorded stack that already had a strong unit and an aura 6.
Should I buy a treadmill before an entity?
Usually no. Multiplying a tiny base wastes Robux. Equip a real unit first, then upgrade the pad.
Why do I still fail stages on a 9x pad?
Speed solves distance. Stamina solves the bag-gated parts. Punch boxing bags, then run. A huge step count with empty stamina still dumps you.
